That is your opinion, and it is fine.
That being said, that does not necessarily meet the law. If the job description, as discussed openly during the interview requires certain weight or size requirements and she does not meet those, then she either has to lose the weight or be at risk for firing. If there were no size or wt requirements as listed in the job description, then the boss may have a problem.
Do not assume that she is fat. You do not know. Remember that in this country we have crazy ideas about what a *tummy* is. Are you telling me you would not want America Ferrera or one of the Kardashian sisters serving you? By many standards they are fat. You do not know if this girl has a healthy self image or if she is horribly codependent and would belive the boss over what common sense would tell us. She did not say she had a muffin top or a belly which lops over her pants. She says she has a tummy. Most women do, but size varies.
You do not have to be Jillian Michaels to be a)fit b) healthy or c) attractive. If you choose not to go somewhere because you find the servers unattractive, that is fine, as it is your choice. What kind of standards do you hold for waiters? Regardless, the issue is not really aesthetic, but is instead legal. If looking a certain way is mandated by her job description, and that was clear up front, then she needs to do as her boss tells her. If it is not part of the job description, then her boss is in the wrong.
